I am a regular user of Capcut premium. I have been having no issues for the most part using this service - I use the web browser version on google Chrome Browser, however, as of late I have been struck with AI text-to-speech limitations, and when I click 'Download', my finished text-to-speech using Basil voice, the button remains on a loading loop. I have not had this issue before now. This is impacting my project I am working on, as it is slowing me down in my work. I have cleared cache, refreshed page, tried microsoft edge, reset my router and to no avail. Can you please assist me with this problem?
Hi,
You are experiencing issues with CapCut's AI text-to-speech feature, particularly with the Basil voice, where the 'Download' button remains in a loading loop. You have already taken commendable troubleshooting steps, including clearing the cache, refreshing the page, trying a different browser, and resetting your router. Here are some additional suggestions that might help resolve the problem:
-
Check for updates: Ensure that both your Google Chrome browser and CapCut web application are updated to their latest versions. Sometimes, updates contain fixes for known issues.
- Try on CapCut desktop version: Since you are currently using CapCut on the web version, there is a full fledged Windows/Mac versions of CapCut. Download the latest version from here and try using AI text-to-speech feature directly from the PC version.
-
Try a different network: Although you have reset your router, attempting to use a different internet connection can help determine if the issue is network-related. Try using a hotspot connection using your mobile data connection. This rules out any problems related to your Wi-Fi or Broadband connection. Ensure your internet connection is stable and strong. You can test your internet speed using online speed test tools.
-
Disable browser extensions: Some browser extensions might interfere with web applications. Try disabling them temporarily to see if it resolves the issue.
- Try a different voice: The issue might be specific to the "Basil" voice. Try generating text-to-speech with a different voice option in CapCut to see if the loading loop persists. This will help determine if the problem is voice-specific or a more general text-to-speech issue.
- Simplify your text: Complex or very long text inputs can sometimes cause processing issues. Try simplifying the text you are trying to convert to speech, or break it down into smaller segments to see if that resolves the loading issue.
- Test with a new project: Create a new, simple CapCut project and try the text-to-speech feature with the Basil voice in that project. This will help determine if the issue is specific to your current project or a broader problem with CapCut on your browser.
-
Contact CapCut support: If the problem persists, reaching out to CapCut's technical support team would be advisable. You can contact them via email at [email protected]. They can provide specific assistance and might be aware of any ongoing issues with the AI text-to-speech feature.
-
Explore Alternative Text-to-Speech Tools: As a temporary workaround, you might consider using other text-to-speech tools to generate the desired audio and then import it into CapCut. You could explore using an external AI-powered Text-to-Speech tool like ElevenLabs. You can generate your voiceover there and then import the audio file into CapCut to continue editing.
By exploring these avenues, you can identify the root cause of the issue and find a suitable solution to continue your project without significant delays.
