Hello, I was banned on Capcut because I did not respect the age of use. Each time I launched the application I had to put my date of birth and one day I made a mistake in putting today's date and since then I have been banned.

I made an appeal by taking a photo of my driving license card and my head and even then I was rejected.

I don't understand, I pay annually and if I make a mistake I can't even work anymore, knowing that it's an essential tool in my content creation?

Please help in unbanning the account.

Hi,

If you have been banned in CapCut due to age reasons then address this issue step by step:

1. Double-check CapCut mails and notifications:

  • Email and notifications: Carefully review all emails and in-app notifications from CapCut. They might have provided specific instructions or reasons for the rejection of your appeal. Look for anything you might have missed.

2. Reattempt the Appeal Process:

  • Access the appeal form: Visit CapCut's official age restriction appeal page.
  • Prepare your documents: Ensure you have a clear photo of your government-issued ID and a recent selfie. If possible prepare multiple ID cards such as health ID, driving license, passport etc.
  • Submit the appeal: Follow the on-screen instructions carefully to complete the appeal process.

3. Reaching out to CapCut development team:

  • Reach out to CapCut support by writing an email to [email protected]. Also you can reach out on the social media official channels of CapCut.
  • Explain the situation clearly. Emphasize that you made a mistake with the date, that you are of legal age, and that you've already submitted your driving license. Explain how the ban is impacting your work. Also mention that you are PRO user who pay annually. CapCut provides dedicated and fast support to paying customers.
  • Screenshots: Include screenshots of the ban message, your driving license or any other ID card, and any communication you have had with CapCut support until now.
  • Subscription information: Provide proof of your paid subscription, including the date of purchase and any relevant transaction IDs. Provide your CapCut account ID to verify your PRO status.
  • If you do not hear back within a reasonable time (e.g., 24-48 hours), follow up politely but firmly. Support requests can sometimes get lost or there can be too much backlog due to lot of users accessing the support.

4. Community guidelines

  • Make sure you always adhere to CapCut community guidelines. Any deviation from these guidelines (even unknowingly) can result in a ban. Read the guidelines carefully and see if you have violated any.

5. Temporary Solution - open a new account:

  • As a temporary measure, create a new CapCut account with a fresh email ID. This would at least allow you to continue working while you try to resolve the issue with your original account. However, you will need to have the backups in order to re-import in the new account. This will be a temporary solution until your main account issue is resolved.

What is the cause of such age related bans?

  • Automated systems: CapCut uses automated systems to detect potentially underage users. These systems can sometimes make mistakes, especially with user input errors.
  • Verification process: There might be a delay or issue with their age verification process. Especially if the ID proof which have provided is blurry is illegible.
  • Check that the details available in ID card matches that of your account. Even slight differences in name, date of birth or location can lead to rejections.
  • Backup your work: Regularly back up your projects to avoid potential data loss during account issues.
