Hi,

It is definitely strange that the feature worked before, prompted you to upgrade, and then still doesn't work after you paid for the Pro plan.

Thanks for sharing the screenshot.

From what you described, it sounds like:

  • You were able to use AI Avatars and apply scripts while on the free version.

  • After upgrading to CapCut Pro, it now keeps prompting you to "upgrade to Pro" when trying to apply a script—even though you're already a Pro user.

This seems like either:

  1. A bug in CapCut.

  2. Or, your account might not be properly recognized as a Pro account in the AI Avatar module.

Based on your description and the screenshot (which shows the AI Avatar script interface), here are several troubleshooting steps you can try:

  1. Restart CapCut: Completely close the CapCut application (make sure it's not running in the background) and then reopen it. Sometimes a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches.

  2. Log Out and Log Back In: Log out of your CapCut account within the app, and then log back in. This can sometimes force the CapCut app to re-check your subscription status and permissions.

  3. Confirm You're Logged Into the Right CapCut Account: Sometimes when switching from free to Pro, people end up logged into a different account (like from Apple ID/Google vs. email). Double-check you’re logged into the same account that was upgraded.
  4. Verify Subscription Status: Double-check within your CapCut account settings that your Pro subscription is active and recognized by the app. Look for a profile or account section that confirms you have "CapCut Pro".

  5. Check for App Updates: Ensure you are using the absolute latest version of CapCut. Go to your app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store) or the CapCut website (if using desktop) and check for any available updates. Developers often fix bugs in newer versions.

  6. Try a Different Network: Sometimes network issues can interfere with features that rely on server communication (like AI avatars). Try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or try a different Wi-Fi network if possible.

  7. Try a Simpler Script/Different Voice: As a test, try using a very short, simple script (e.g., "Hello") and perhaps select a different AI voice. This helps rule out if the issue is related to the specific script length/content or the selected voice.

  8. Clear Cache:

    • Mobile: Go to your phone's Settings > Apps > CapCut > Storage and look for an option to "Clear Cache". (Be careful not to clear "Data" unless you're prepared to log in again and potentially lose drafts).
    • Desktop: Cache clearing procedures vary, but often involve navigating to specific folders in your user directory. Look for CapCut support documentation on how to do this for your operating system.
  9. Try It on CapCut Web: If you’re using the desktop app or mobile version, go to the CapCut Web Editor and test it there. Sometimes features are more stable on one platform than the other.
  10. Reinstall CapCut: If none of the above works, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the CapCut application. This can fix issues related to a corrupted installation. Important: Make sure any important projects are saved or backed up before doing this, as uninstalling might remove local data depending on the platform.

  11. Contact CapCut Support: Since you are a paying Pro user and the feature is specifically malfunctioning after upgrading, this seems like a bug or an account issue they need to address.

    • Look within the CapCut app for a "Feedback", "Help", or "Contact Us" option (often found in the settings or profile menu). Write an email to [email protected] or [email protected]
    • Explain the situation clearly: mention that you were prompted to upgrade to use the script feature, you purchased the Pro plan, and the feature still doesn't work. Include your username/account details if possible.
    • Mention:
      • You’re a Pro user
      • The AI Avatars tool still asks you to upgrade
      • You’ve already paid
      • It worked when you were free, but broke after upgrade
      • Attach the screenshot you shared here. That helps the support team escalate it faster.

It is possible this is a known bug they are working on, or an issue specific to your account recognizing the Pro status for that particular feature. Contacting their support directly is your best bet if the basic troubleshooting doesn't resolve it.
