Hello,
I purchased CapCut Pro for me and my team today but am struggling to see how I can share the login details with my colleagues so we can all access it when needed. Please let me know a way so that I can share access with the team?
Hi,
CapCut Pro does not officially support sharing login credentials as you might expect. However, for collaborative editing there are options. Simply follow the process as defined below to work on video editing with your CapCut PRO features.
- CapCut Pro subscriptions are linked to individual accounts, meaning each team member needs their own subscription to access premium features.
Collaboration Features
- Currently you can not share a single login, CapCut offers robust collaboration tools, allowing teams to work together efficiently. You can:
- Use Shared Drafts: Team members can access and edit drafts within a shared workspace.
- Enable Collaborative Editing: Editing permissions can be transferred between team members.
- Share for Review: Easily share projects for feedback and revisions.
How to Set Up Collaboration
CapCut offers collaboration features that you can leverage with your team, even if not everyone has Pro.
1. Utilize CapCut "Spaces" for Team Collaboration (Free Feature)
Creating a Space:
- Open CapCut Workspace.
- Click "Create new space" in the bottom-left corner.
- Name your space.
- Enter your team members' email addresses to invite them.
- Click "Create space" to finalize.
Inviting Members:
- To add more members later, click "Invite members" at the top right of the space.
- You can invite teammates by sharing an invitation link or entering email addresses directly.
Collaborative Editing:
- Team members can access and edit drafts within the shared "Drafts" section.
- One editor at a time: Only one person can actively edit a video at a time.
- Transferring editing permissions: Click "... > Transfer editing permission" within the video editor.
Permissions:
- Admin: Can edit and manage all video files in the space.
- Collaborator: Can only edit and manage videos they personally post in the space.
Sharing for Review:
- Click "Export > Share for review" to share videos for feedback.
- Share with team members within the space or externally via a public link ("Everyone").
- Reviewers can leave comments and suggestions for improvements.
2. Cloud Storage and Asset Sharing (Free Feature)
- CapCut provides free cloud storage upon signup, with additional storage unlocked as you invite more team members.
- Use the shared space to upload and manage media assets (images, videos, music) for easy access in team projects.
3. Communication and Workflow Tips
- CapCut currently does not support built-in messaging tools so use external platforms like Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom for discussions.
- Establish clear roles (e.g., Project Manager, Editor, Content Creator) for streamlined collaboration.
- Encourage team members to document edits and provide regular feedback to ensure efficiency.
By leveraging CapCut’s Spaces, cloud storage, and structured workflow, your team can collaborate seamlessly on video projects without the need for shared logins.
Important points to note
- One Editor at a Time: To prevent conflicts, only one person can edit a video at a time.
- Limited Free Storage: Team spaces have restricted free storage, which can be expanded by adding more members.
