Capcut Pro Standard Version issue

Hello! This week I bought capcut pro thinking it is pro. unfortunately it is the standard version, since when do we have to pay for the standard version? now I want to buy pro but it asks me 200 euros again. how can I pay only the difference? please help me

Hi,

It sounds like you purchased subscription for the standard tier of CapCut premium even though you wanted the Pro version. CapCut has recently changed the subscription tiers and now you have two paid tiers (apart from the basic free version) viz. Standard and PRO. You can read about the new CapCut PRO plan tiers.

Now the app is asking you to pay an additional 200 euros to get the Pro features. Unfortunately, CapCut’s current pricing model does not offer an “upgrade discount” or proration option that lets you pay just the difference between the standard and Pro tiers. In other words, if you cancel or if you purchased the wrong tier by mistake, you will have to subscribe to Pro at its full price.

• If you had an active auto-renewal subscription at the lower rate, some users have noted that their price stayed locked in until the end of the term. However, if you canceled auto-renewal or if you purchased the standard version thinking it was Pro, that benefit does not apply.

• There isn’t a built-in option in the app to “upgrade” by paying only the price difference—you would need to purchase a new Pro subscription at the full (new) price.

What you can do is to reach out to CapCut’s customer support by emailing at capcut.support@bytedance.com and explain your situation. You can ask if they can offer any remedy—whether that’s a refund or a special upgrade adjustment.

Alternatively, if you have not used the Standard subscription for long, then seek a refund for this tier and re-subscribe to the higher PRO tier.

In summary, there isn't a direct method to simply “pay the difference” in CapCut; you’ll need to contact support to get help with your specific case.
