I just upgraded to the latest version of Capcut and my subscription is active. But to my surprise, only 2 face retouching features are available i.e SMOOTH AND WHITE. Others features like EVEN are not there. This is really frustrating. What can be done?
Hi,
We understand that you are facing problem with CapCut's face retouching features after your recent update. Try these steps to resolve this issue.
1. Locating the Retouch Features: Sometime, after certain updates, the retouch features like 'Even' may not appear in their usual locations. Here is how you can access them:
- On the Home Page:
-
Open CapCut and swipe down on the home page.
-
Look for 'Featured Tools' at the top.
-
Tap on 'Retouch' from there.
-
- Within the Editor:
-
Import your video into CapCut and enter the editing interface.
-
Tap on 'Retouch'.
-
If you don't see all the features, tap the small box next to 'Auto reshape' to reveal additional options like 'Face', 'Eyes', 'Nose', 'Mouth', and 'Eyebrows'.
-
For manual adjustments, tap the box next to 'Manual' and adjust sliders for 'Size' and 'Intensity'.
-
To apply makeup effects, tap the box next to 'Make up' and select your desired style.
-
Do watch the below tutorials here on properly accessing the Retouch feature in CapCut:
2. Regional Availability: It's important to note that certain features, including some retouching tools, might be restricted or unavailable in specific regions due to licensing or regulatory reasons. Some of these features are missing in the United States but are accessible in other countries.
3.Verify Subscription Status Within CapCut:
-
- Go into the CapCut app settings (accessed via your profile icon or a 'Me' tab).
- Look for a section related to "Subscription," "CapCut Pro," or "Manage Account."
- Confirm that the app itself recognizes your Pro subscription as active. Sometimes there's a delay between the app store payment and the app recognizing it. Use the "Restore Purchases" option in this section.
4. Check for Another App Update: Even though you just updated, sometimes a quick patch or bug fix follows closely behind a major version release. Go back to your device's app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store) and check if there's another update available for CapCut.
5. Clear CapCut's Cache: App cache can sometimes become corrupted and cause unexpected behavior.
-
- On Android: Go to Settings > Apps > CapCut > Storage > Clear Cache. (Be careful not to clear data unless you're prepared to log back in and potentially lose drafts).
- On iOS: iOS doesn't offer a simple cache clear for individual apps. The equivalent is usually to offload or reinstall the app.
6. Alternative Solutions: If you've tried the above steps and still can't access the features, consider the following:
-
Use a VPN: Sometimes using a VPN to change your location might grant access to features unavailable in your region. However proceed with caution as there may be challenges.
-
Contact Support: Reach out to CapCut's customer support team to inquire about the availability of specific features in your region and any potential solutions.
-
Write an email to [email protected]. Explain the situation clearly: mention your device model, operating system version, the CapCut version you updated to, that your subscription is active, and specifically which features are missing ("Even" etc.) while "Smooth" and "White" are present.
We hope these suggestions help you regain full access to CapCut's retouching features. If you continue to experience difficulties, please let us know, and we can explore further solutions.
