I would like to transfer my pro subscription to another account. Please assist, thank you.

Transferring a CapCut Pro subscription between accounts is not straightforward, as subscriptions are typically tied to the account used during purchase.

However, depending on your goal, here are a couple of potential workarounds and things to consider before seeking dedicated support.

1. CapCut workspace for collaboration:

If your aim is to allow someone else to use the Pro features, especially for collaborative projects, CapCut offers a "Workspace" feature. This allows you to:

  • Create a space and invite members: You can set up a shared workspace and invite other CapCut users to join.
  • Collaborative editing: Workspace members can access and collaboratively edit projects within the space from different devices.
  • Share videos: You can share finished videos with team members for review and feedback.

While this doesn't transfer the subscription, it enables multiple users to work together and potentially utilize some of the benefits of your Pro subscription within a shared environment. You can find more details about setting up and using CapCut Workspace in this resource:

2. Alternative approach:

    • Cancel and re-subscribe: As there are currently no direct option to transfer, we recommend you consider canceling the subscription on the current account and purchasing a new one on the desired account. Even if you cancel you will continue to receive the PRO benefits on your existing account till the end of the tenure. After that you can choose to subscribe on the new account.
    • Alternately, if you have not used the PRO subscription for long and genuinely believe have not used the benefits then you can seek for a refund through the app store. Simultaneously purchase a new subscription on the new account and wait for the refund to be processed on the existing account. 

3.Contact CapCut support:

    • Reach out to CapCut's support team at [email protected].
    • Clearly explain your situation, including the current account associated with the subscription and the account to which you would like to transfer it.
    • While there is no official process for transferring subscriptions, the support team may assist on a case-by-case basis.

Other points to note:

  • Account consistency: Ensure that the account you wish to use is consistently logged in across all your devices to maintain access to your Pro features.

  • Project backup: Before making any changes, back up your projects to prevent potential data loss. CapCut allows project export and collaboration features that can aid in transferring projects between accounts or devices.

  • Even if the PRO subscription is switched to a new account, you will still need to manually transfer the data from the old account to new account.
