I upgraded from free to pro to keep the auto titles. I also benefited from the brand assets kit but no as I try to upload a new graphic it’s asking me to upgrade to teams
is this a new way to force us to upgrade yet again
all I want is to store some end cards within the all so that I have them to hand no matter where I edit a video from
Hi,
What you are describing is part of a recent change CapCut has rolled out.
What’s Happening
CapCut used to allow Pro users to store and manage brand assets like logos, end cards, etc. directly in the Brand Kit.
Now, they have moved that feature under the “Teams” plan, which is more expensive and geared toward group collaboration. So even though you're a Pro user (paying already), certain asset management features like uploading and storing new graphics are being locked behind another upgrade.
Feature Tiering and Changes: CapCut frequently adjust their subscription tiers and the features included in each.
- When you initially upgraded to Pro, the Brand Kit feature was fully included.
- CapCut has recently redefined the Brand Kit's capabilities. The more extensive Brand Kit usage, involving more assets, larger storage, and features geared towards team consistency, belongs in the "Teams" plan. The Teams plan is specifically designed for collaborative workflows and shared assets, so migrating advanced Brand Kit features there aligns with that model. Read about the CapCut PRO tiers and pricing from here.
- CapCut developers are using this as a push toward monetizing “Teams”. You're not alone in being caught off-guard by this.
Is it a "Forced Upgrade"? From a user perspective, it certainly feels that way. From the CapCut's perspective, they are segmenting features to match different user needs (individual creators vs. teams/businesses) and encourage adoption of higher-tier plans for more advanced functionality. While not ideal for users caught in the middle, it's a common business practice.
Your Goal: Central Storage for End Cards: You want a simple way to access your end cards across different devices where you use CapCut. The Brand Kit seemed perfect for this.
What You Can Do
Here are a few workarounds so you don’t lose workflow flexibility:
-
- Store your end cards in Google Drive or Dropbox
- Keep a dedicated folder for CapCut graphics.
- Access them easily from any device when editing.
- Bonus: you’re not locked into CapCut’s ecosystem.
- Use the “Favorites” feature in CapCut (if applicable)
- Some Pro users still have access to asset favoriting, which can help keep items handy within the app, though not all visuals can be stored this way.
- Local storage hack
- Keep your end cards saved directly in a folder on your phone, tablet, or PC — CapCut remembers recently used files if you access them regularly from that location.
- Carefully review the current comparison between the Free, Pro, and Teams plans. Look specifically for details about the "Brand Kit" feature in each tier. Pay attention to any listed limitations like:
- Number of assets allowed
- Total cloud storage space for the kit
- Collaboration features (which might be Teams-only) This will confirm if the functionality you need (uploading more assets) has indeed moved to the Teams plan.
- Review Your Current Brand Kit Usage: Can you still access and use the assets already in your Brand Kit within the Pro plan? The limitation might only apply to adding new assets beyond a certain point.
- Store your end cards in Google Drive or Dropbox
If the Pro Brand Kit is now too limited for your needs and you don't want to upgrade to Teams:
- Cloud Storage: Use a standard cloud storage service (Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud Drive, etc.). Save your end cards there. When editing on a different device, simply download the required end card from your cloud storage into CapCut. This adds an extra manual step but achieves your goal of having assets accessible anywhere without relying solely on CapCut's integrated kit.
- CapCut Cloud Space: CapCut Pro comes with general cloud storage space of 100 GB separate from the Brand Kit. Simply upload your end cards to your general CapCut cloud storage and access them that way across devices.
