HI!

I have the latest version of Capcut App on my iPhone and Capcut Desktop (Windows). I would like to transfer my videos from my phone to the PC. So I uploaded everything to my capcut cloud space.
However, I am unable to import my videos from my cloud space to my Desktop App.

I know this function existed before, because there are several youtube videos showing it. Still it does not work now, there is simply no space button anywhere.
Please let me know how I can import my videos from the cloud space or how I can synchronize it, because it would be a vital function which saves a lot of time.

Many thanks for your support in advance.

Hello, I have the same problem. I missed the button Media that allows to import files from cloud. Instead of that is the button Import. Have you solved the problem yet please ?
Many thanks T.

Hi,

Currently, CapCut's cloud synchronization between mobile and desktop platforms has undergone changes hence we propose alternative methods as below:

Alternative Methods to Transfer Videos:

1. Using CapCut's Mobile-to-PC Transfer Feature:

  • On CapCut Desktop:
  • Open CapCut on your PC.
  • Hover over the "Upload" button to reveal a drop-down menu.
  • Select "Mobile phone," which will display a QR code.

  • On CapCut Mobile:
  • Open CapCut on your iPhone.
  • Navigate to your project and tap on the "Share" or "Export" option.
  • Look for an option to scan a QR code or connect to a PC.
  • Scan the QR code displayed on your PC screen to initiate the transfer.

Note: This method allows for direct transfer of projects from your iPhone to your PC.

2. Manual Transfer via iCloud Drive:

  • On Your iPhone:
  • Open the Files app and navigate to the video you wish to transfer.
  • Tap the "Share" button and select "Save to Files."
  • Choose "iCloud Drive" as the destination folder.

  • On Your PC:
  • Ensure you have iCloud for Windows installed and set up.
  • Open the iCloud Drive folder on your PC to access and download the video.

Note: This method relies on iCloud to sync files between your devices.

3. Using AirDrop (for Mac Users):

  • On Your iPhone:
  • Open the Photos app and select the video to transfer.
  • Tap the "Share" icon and choose "AirDrop."
  • Select your Mac from the list of available devices.

  • On Your Mac:
  • Ensure AirDrop is enabled and set to receive files from your contacts or everyone.
  • Accept the incoming file transfer on your Mac.

Note: AirDrop provides a quick way to transfer files between Apple devices.

4. Export and manually import from cloud storage

This method involves exporting your video projects from the CapCut mobile app to your device's storage and then manually uploading them to CapCut's cloud. Afterward, you would download them to your PC and import them into the CapCut desktop application.

Here's how you can do it:

  •  Export from Mobile App: In the CapCut mobile app, open the project you want to transfer. Export the project video to your iPhone's camera roll or files.
  • Upload to CapCut Cloud: Within the CapCut mobile app, navigate to your profile and find the "Cloud Space" or "My Space" section. Upload the exported video file to your CapCut cloud storage.
  • Download on Desktop: Access your CapCut cloud space through the CapCut desktop application (or try accessing the same from the website if desktop application does not support cloud space). Download the video file to your Windows PC.
  • Import to Desktop App: In the CapCut desktop app, manually import the downloaded video file into your project.

Important Note: This method transfers the rendered video file, not the editable project file. This means you won't be able to continue editing the project on your desktop, but you can use the video footage in a new desktop project.

5. Direct file transfer from iPhone to PC

This is a more direct method to get your video files onto your PC.

  • Using a USB Cable: Connect your iPhone to your Windows PC with a USB cable.
  • On your iPhone, you will need to tap "Trust This Computer".
  • On your PC, your iPhone should appear as a portable device in File Explorer.
  • Navigate to the DCIM folder, where your photos and videos are stored.
  • Locate the video files you exported from CapCut and copy them to a folder on your PC.

Using iCloud Photos: If you use iCloud Photos, and it's set up on your Windows PC, your iPhone videos may automatically sync to your PC. Check your iCloud Photos folder on your PC for your videos.

Using Third-Party Cloud Services: You could also use cloud storage services like Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive. Upload the exported video from your iPhone to one of these services, and then download it to your PC from the same service.

Once the video files are on your PC, you can easily import them into your CapCut desktop project.

By utilizing these alternative methods, you can effectively transfer your videos from your iPhone to your PC for further editing in CapCut.
