I’m very annoyed, im a TikTok creator who uses png on CapCut very often in the photo editor. I’ve been using very much and it worked really good, but today it wouldn’t work at all with different images. Hope you can fix it CapCut🙏

Hi,

You are using the CapCut's AI PNG feature and it has been an essential part of your TikTok content creation. Let us troubleshoot why the AI PNG cutout in CapCut might not be working for you today. Here are some steps you can take to address this issue:

  1. Confirm you are using the correct feature:

    • "Cutout" or "Remove Background": Double-check that you are indeed using the AI "Cutout" or "Remove Background" feature within CapCut's photo editor. The exact wording might vary slightly depending on the CapCut version, but it should be the AI-powered tool specifically designed to make PNGs by removing backgrounds.
    • Manual eraser vs. AI: Ensure you are not accidentally using a manual eraser tool instead of the automated AI cutout. The AI tool should be a one-click or automatically processing option.
  2. Check image requirements and quality:

    • Image type: While AI cutout is generally versatile, it works best with images that have a clear foreground subject and a reasonably distinct background. Very blurry, low-resolution, or images with complex, cluttered backgrounds might confuse the AI.
    • Image format: Make sure the images you are uploading are in common formats like JPG, JPEG, or PNG themselves (even though you want to create a PNG output, the input image can be a JPG).
    • Try different images: You mentioned it is not working with "different images," but try to be even more varied in your test images. Try:
      • A very simple image with a clear subject and plain background.
      • An image you know worked with the AI cutout feature previously.
      • A completely new image you haven't used before.
      • Images with different lighting conditions (brightly lit vs. slightly darker).
  3. Internet connection stability:

    • AI processing is cloud-based: AI features of CapCut rely on cloud processing. A temporary internet glitch could disrupt the AI's ability to analyze and cutout the image.
    • Solution: Even if your internet seems fine for Browse, quickly restart your router again, just to be absolutely sure it's stable. Try using the AI PNG cutout again after the restart.
  4. CapCut web browser version issues:

    • Browser compatibility: While Chrome is generally compatible, ensure it is updated to the latest version. Try using another browser such as Mozilla or Edge to see if it works correctly there.
    • Browser cache/cookies: Clear your browser's cache and cookies specifically for the CapCut website. Sometimes, corrupted temporary data can interfere with web app features.
    • Try Incognito mode: Test the AI PNG cutout in Chrome's Incognito mode. This runs Chrome without extensions and with a fresh temporary profile, which can help rule out browser profile issues.
  5. CapCut web app temporary glitch:

    • It is possible there is a temporary problem on CapCut's server side that's affecting the AI PNG feature. These glitches sometimes resolve themselves.
    • Wait for a short period (e.g., an hour or two) and try the AI PNG cutout again later to see if it starts working.
  6. Simplify your editing process temporarily:

    • Basic photo editor test: Try just opening a single image in CapCut's photo editor and only using the AI cutout feature. Avoid adding any other edits or layers initially. This helps isolate if the problem is specifically with the AI cutout itself, or if it's being caused by a combination of factors in a more complex edit.
  7. Update CapCut: If you are actually using the CapCut app (even though you mentioned web browser, just in case), make sure your CapCut app is updated to the latest version from your device's app store (Google Play Store or Apple App Store). Updates often contain bug fixes.

  8. Adjust image properties: Try making minor adjustments to your PNG images before importing them into CapCut. This can sometimes resolve display issues.

  9. Consider a different PNG creation method:

    • Online background remover tools: If the CapCut AI PNG is persistently failing and you need to create PNGs urgently for your TikTok content, you can use dedicated online background remover tools as a temporary workaround. Many free online tools use AI to remove backgrounds and create PNGs. Some popular options include:
    • You can create your PNGs using these tools and then import the finished PNG images into CapCut for your TikTok video editing.
  10. As a temporary workaround, you might consider using other photo editing tools to process your PNG images before importing them into CapCut.

If none of these troubleshooting steps resolve the AI PNG cutout problem, it is best to report the issue directly to CapCut technical support team. You can email them at [email protected]. Explain that the AI PNG cutout feature is not working for you, mention the troubleshooting steps you've already tried, and provide details about your device, browser (if applicable), and CapCut version (if using the app).

By following these steps, you should be able to identify and resolve the issue with CapCut's AI PNG feature and continue creating your TikTok content without interruption. Let us know if you have any more questions or if any of these steps help.
