So I made a lyric video on desktop and i’m trying to export it but everytime I export it and rewatch it, some of the scenes turn completely green like a full green screen, some of the parts are slowed when I didn’t change the speed, some of the parts also freeze before I export it, and the video sometimes even delays and is behind on the song and there is nothing I can do to fix it. I tried replacing the clips and everything, I deleted a lot of apps from my laptop, I cleaned the vents but it won’t work.
Hi
We are surprised you are experiencing green screen glitch, unexpected slowdowns, freezes, and audio-video sync problems during export in CapCut. Here are some steps you can try to resolve these issues:
- Disable Hardware Encoding: On the CapCut desktop app, go to 'Settings', navigate to the 'Performance' tab, uncheck 'Speed up hardware encoding', and click 'Save'. This can help address the green screen glitch.
- Clear Cache: Accumulated cache can cause performance issues. In CapCut, click on 'Settings', then 'Settings' again, find 'Cache size', click the delete icon, and confirm to clear the cache.
- Adjust Export Settings: Exporting at high resolutions or frame rates can strain your system. Try lowering the resolution (e.g., to 1080p or 720p) and the frame rate (e.g., to 30fps) before exporting.
- Free Up System Resources: Ensure your computer has sufficient storage space and close unnecessary applications running in the background to allocate more resources to CapCut.
- Update CapCut: Make sure you're using the latest version of CapCut, as updates often include bug fixes that might resolve your issues.
- Reduce Project Complexity: Lyric videos can sometimes become complex, especially with numerous layers, effects, and transitions. Try simplifying your project temporarily to see if that helps with exporting. For example, remove some effects or transitions, or export a shorter section of the video to test.
- Check System Requirements: Ensure your computer meets the minimum system requirements for CapCut, especially for exporting high-resolution videos. If your system is struggling, it might lead to performance issues during export.
- Check Clip Compatibility: Ensure all your video clips and media files are in formats that are fully compatible with CapCut. Incompatible formats can sometimes cause export problems. Common compatible formats include MP4, MOV, and AVI. You can use a video converter to convert files if needed.
- Corrupted Media Files: Although you replaced clips, it's worth double-checking if any of your source media files are corrupted. Try using different media files or re-downloading them from their source.
- Resolution and Frame Rate: Lowering the resolution (e.g., from 4K to 1080p) or frame rate might reduce the processing load and resolve export issues.
- Video Codec: CapCut usually defaults to H.264, which is a good general codec. However, you could experiment with other codecs if available, though this is less likely to be the primary issue.
- Overheating: Although you cleaned the vents, overheating can still sometimes occur, especially during resource-intensive tasks like video exporting. Ensure your laptop has adequate ventilation and is not placed on soft surfaces that can block airflow.
- Export in Sections: If the entire video is causing problems, try exporting your project in smaller sections. This can help isolate if the issue is with a specific part of the video or the entire project.
- Graphics Card Driver: Outdated or corrupted graphics card drivers can sometimes cause display and performance issues in video editing software. Make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date. You can usually update drivers from the website of your graphics card manufacturer (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel).

To help us narrow down the issue, could you tell us:
- What are the specifications of your computer (Operating System, Processor, RAM, Graphics Card)?
- What resolution and frame rate are you trying to export at?
- What video and audio formats are your source files?
- Have you tried exporting other projects in CapCut, and do they have the same issues?
By answering these questions and trying the troubleshooting steps, we can hopefully pinpoint the cause of these export problems and get your lyric video working correctly.
