HELP! I thought that the SPEED CURVE feature was NOT a Pro feature. I made a video earlier and was able to export it. I went back in to make some changes and now it gives me an error in export saying that I have used PRO features...the CURVE features. It is no longer free? Did I goof something uP?
Hi,
We understand your frustration with encountering an export error in CapCut due to the use of Pro features, specifically the Speed Curve. While the Speed Curve feature was initially available in the free version, CapCut's recent updates have moved certain functionalities, including some speed adjustments, to the Pro tier.
This change means that projects utilizing these features now require a Pro subscription for export.
To resolve this issue, consider the following steps:
-
Identify and replace Pro features: Attempt to export your project again. When the Pro feature warning appears, click on it to be directed to the specific feature causing the issue. Replace or remove this feature to proceed with exporting.
Read our guide on removing PRO features while exporting in CapCut. - Accidental use of a Pro feature: When you went back to edit, you might have inadvertently selected one of these Pro-only options without realizing it. Double-check if you selected a specific preset within the Speed Curve menu that might be marked with a "Pro" icon or label. Try using one of the basic presets or customizing the curve manually to see if that resolves the issue.
- Misinterpretation of the error: The error message might be slightly misleading. While it mentions "Pro features" and "CURVE features," it's possible the actual Pro feature triggering the export error is something else entirely that you might have inadvertently added during your re-editing session.
-
Reset the Project Cover: Some users have found that resetting the project's cover image can resolve export issues. Navigate to the 'Cover' section at the beginning of your project and reset it to its default state.
- Undo recent edits: If you can, try undoing the changes you made since the last successful export, step-by-step. Export after each undo to see if a particular edit is triggering the Pro feature prompt. This might help you isolate if it's truly the Speed Curve or another feature causing the issue.
-
Review other Pro features: Ensure that other Pro features, such as certain transitions, effects, or audio enhancements, are not used in your project. Removing these can facilitate a successful export.
-
Update CapCut: Ensure you are using the latest version of CapCut, as updates may address export-related issues.
- Rollback CapCut: If you believe Speed Curve feature was free in earlier version but became a PRO feature right after upgrade, you can consider rolling back CapCut to an earlier version. Just uninstall current version of CapCut and download an earlier version when Speed Curve was working and install it.
If you frequently use features now classified as Pro, you might consider subscribing to CapCut Pro to access these functionalities without restrictions.
