To replace the original voiceover in your CapCut project with an AI-generated voice, follow these steps:

1. Remove the original voiceover:

  • Mute the Existing Audio:

    • Open your project in CapCut.
    • In your CapCut project timeline, you'll see different tracks representing video and audio elements.
    • Identify the audio track that contains the automated voiceover you want to remove. This track would be associated with the auto-generated video or the text-to-speech feature you initially used.
    • Tap on the video clip containing the original voiceover to select it.
    • Locate the "Volume" option at the bottom of the screen.
    • Reduce the volume to zero to mute the original audio.
    • If you are sure you don not need the original voiceover at all, you can delete the audio track. Select the audio track in the timeline and choose the delete option (a trash can icon or by right-clicking and selecting "Delete").

This action silences or removes the existing voiceover, allowing you to overlay a new one.

2. Add an AI voiceover:

  • Utilize CapCut's Text-to-Speech feature:

    • Tap on the "Text" option in the toolbar.
    • Select "Add Text" and input the desired script for your voiceover.
    • After entering the text, tap on the "Text-to-Speech" button.
    • Choose from the available AI voice options that best suit your project.
    • Tap "Start Reading" to generate the AI voiceover.
    • If you have already created your AI voiceover using a different tool or have an audio file, you can import it into CapCut. Look for an "Import" or "Audio" button to add your audio file to the project timeline.

This feature converts your written text into a voiceover using AI-generated voices.

3. Adjust the AI voiceover timing:

  • Synchronize Audio with Video:

    • Ensure the AI-generated voiceover aligns correctly with the visuals.
    • Drag and position the voiceover track on the timeline to match the desired timing.
    • Adjust the volume of the AI voiceover track to your liking. You can also use CapCut's audio editing tools to fine-tune the AI voice, if needed.

Proper synchronization ensures that the voiceover complements the visual elements effectively.

By following these steps, you can effectively replace the original voiceover with an AI-generated one in your CapCut project.
