updating payment method

been trying to figure out for a while now how to update payment method. Is it only something I can do on a computer versus a phone? It wouldn’t let me update before because I had canceled my subscription and I think I had to wait until it ended to update the payment method, but I am not trying to use Apple Pay. I am trying to put it on an entirely different card than the one in my Apple
