Hi,

If you are getting "File not supported" error with your Elevenlabs.io audio in CapCut then try these fixes:

  • Try downloading the audio file from Elevenlabs again, just in case it got corrupted the first time.
  • Check the File Format: Verify the file’s extension (e.g., .mp3 or .wav). If it’s in a less common format (like .ogg or .opus), the app might cause errors.
  • Convert the File: Use a tool like VLC, Audacity, or an online converter to change the file to a supported format such as MP3 or WAV with standard settings (typically 44.1 kHz, 16-bit). This should make it compatible with CapCut.
  • CapCut supports MP3, WAV, AAC, and M4A.
    • Use an online converter: Convert your MP3 to WAV or AAC using CloudConvert or AnyConv.
    • Using FFmpeg command: Convert using this command "ffmpeg -i input.mp3 output.wav"

Watch below video to see how to convert your audio file:

  • Rename the file: Sometimes the issue is as simple as an incorrect file extension. Ensure the file name ends with the proper extension (e.g., “audio.mp3”).
  • Test the converted file: Before re-uploading to CapCut, play the converted file in another media player to confirm it works correctly.
  • If the audio file is exceptionally large or long, try splitting it into smaller segments using an audio editor (like Audacity). Then, import the segments into CapCut. You can trim the audio using Audacity.
  • Use different import method:
    • If you are trying to import the audio directly, try a different method:
      • Drag and drop: Drag the audio file directly from its folder into the CapCut media library.
      • Import from device: Use the "Import from Device" option within CapCut to browse for the audio file.
  • Try importing a completely different audio file (MP3, WAV, etc.) into CapCut to see if the problem is specific to the Elevenlabs file or if CapCut is having trouble with audio import in general.
  • If none of the above works, reach out to Elevenlabs or CapCut support. They might have insights into specific compatibility issues with CapCut or be able to provide the audio in a different format.

Other important points to consider:

  1. Make sure the file path to your audio file doesn't contain any special characters or unusually long folder names.
  2. Ensure that CapCut has the necessary permissions to access the folder where the audio file is stored.
  3. Try reopening or reinstalling CapCut. If there is any latest update available then download and install the latest version.
