after updating the app on pc today the voice isolation feature disappeared. and it's one of my most used features. will it come back ? or is that it ?
Hi,
It is quite surprising the voice isolation feature disappeared from CapCut after the update, especially since it is a feature you frequently use. Let us investigate what might have happened and how to use this feature.
CapCut offers a voice isolation feature on PC. It is designed to help separate vocals from background music or noise in your audio.
First make sure you are following the below steps to access the Isolate Voice feature within CapCut:
How to use CapCut’s isolate voice feature (PC & Mobile)
Step 1: Import your video
- Open CapCut on your PC or mobile device.
- Click "New Project" and import your video.
Step 2: Select the audio track
- Drag your video to the timeline.
- Click on the audio track (or detach the audio by right-clicking and selecting "Detach Audio").
Step 3: Apply voice isolation
- Go to the Audio Editing panel.
- Look for the "Noise Reduction" or "Voice Isolation" option (name may vary depending on version).
- Toggle the switch ON to isolate the voice from background noise.
Step 4: Adjust settings
- Fine-tune the isolation level.
- Listen to the preview and adjust if necessary.
Step 5: Export your video
- Once you're happy with the isolated voice, click Export and save your project.
Possible reasons for disappearance of this feature in your CapCut version:
-
- Feature moved to Pro version: It is possible that with the latest update, voice isolation has become exclusive to CapCut Pro, and is no longer available in the free version. This is a common practice for CapCut to incentivize users to upgrade to paid plans.
- Temporary bug or glitch: It could also be a temporary bug in the latest update. Software updates can sometimes introduce unintended issues, and features might disappear or malfunction temporarily.
- Geographical restrictions: Some features in CapCut can be rolled out or removed based on region or user accounts.
-
Will it come back?
- If it's now a Pro feature: If voice isolation is indeed moved to CapCut Pro, it will likely not come back to the free version. You would need to subscribe to CapCut Pro to regain access.
- If it's a bug: If it is a bug, there is a good chance CapCut will address it in a future update. CapCut developers usually release patches to fix issues introduced in updates.
What you can do:
- Check for feature relocation or renaming: Sometimes, updates relocate or rename features. Explore the audio editing sections thoroughly to see if the voice isolation feature has been moved or renamed.
-
Check if you are using CapCut Pro: See if your CapCut account is subscribed to the Pro version. If you are using the free version, this could be the reason why the feature is no longer available.
-
Restart CapCut and your PC: A simple restart can sometimes resolve temporary glitches. Close CapCut completely and restart your computer, then check again for the voice isolation feature.
-
Ensure you have the latest update: Double-check that you have indeed updated to the very latest version of CapCut PC. Sometimes, an update process might not complete correctly.
-
Reinstall or roll back CapCut: If the feature is still missing, consider reinstalling CapCut or reverting to a previous version where the feature was available.
-
Contact CapCut technical support: The most direct way to get a definitive answer is to contact CapCut's technical support team. You can reach them at: [email protected]. Explain that the voice isolation feature disappeared after the update and ask if it has been removed, moved to Pro, or if it's a bug.
- If the issue persists, you might consider using alternative software with similar capabilities, such as the ones that offers AI-powered noise reduction and voice enhancement features. Once you have done the vocal isolation, you can reimport the video back to CapCut and continue editing.
While it is not certain if the voice isolation feature will return to the free version, contacting support is the best way to get clarification on this. In the meantime, you can explore other audio editing software or online tools that offer voice isolation if you urgently need this feature.
