Hi All,

I am really disappointed and frustrated with Capcut support behaviour. I joined Capcut Creator program about three months ago. I was successfully posting templates and got about 1000 followers in three months and more than 6000 likes on all my Templates. And four of my templates were selected for Pro (I don't know what does that mean). But suddenly Capcut disabled my Creator access saying that your templates do not meet the requirements. I contacted them many times through email and In-app feed back section, and finally they said that we have closed your Creator access.

Is this a professional way of dealing with people who promote your business and your app ?

I am not saying that my Templates are extra ordinary but I have seen many other templates like mine and those Creators are publishing for many years.

Anyways, leaving Capcut because of their un professional behaviour and will post this behaviour on all social media platforms.

BYE.

Hi,

It is understandable to feel frustrated and confused when your CapCut Creator access is suddenly revoked, especially after you have built a following and had templates recognized. Let us try to break down the possible reasons and what you can do about this.

CapCut has specific guidelines and quality standards for the creator programs. While you feel your templates are comparable to others, there might be nuances in the CapCut requirements or changes in policy that led to this decision. Here are some potential reasons and steps you can consider:

Possible reasons for Creator access revocation:

  1. Violation of content guidelines (even though it might be unintentional):

    • Even if your templates seem similar to others, there might be subtle violations of CapCut's content guidelines that you are unaware of. These guidelines can cover areas like:
      • Copyright infringement: Using copyrighted music, video clips, or images without proper licensing or permission, even in small amounts. CapCut is very strict about copyright.
      • Trademark infringement: Using logos or trademarks in a way that could be misleading or violate brand guidelines.
      • Community guidelines: Content that might be considered offensive, inappropriate, or not aligned with CapCut's community standards. This can sometimes be subjective.
      • Misleading or low-quality content: While you have likes and followers, CapCut might have internal metrics for template quality that go beyond popularity. CapCut will be looking for originality, technical execution, or specific trends wanted to promoted.
    • What actions can you take?
      • Review CapCut's Creator Program Guidelines very carefully: The detailed documentation or terms and conditions related to the creator program (link provided above). Read the sections especially related to "Template Requirements," or "Community Guidelines." Pay close attention to sections on copyright, trademarks, and content restrictions.
      • Compare your templates to guidelines: Objectively review your templates against these guidelines. Are there any elements that could be interpreted as violations, even if you didn't intend them to be?
  2. Changes in platform policy or template standards:

    • CapCut often evolve their creator programs and may tighten quality standards or change their focus over time.
    • What was acceptable three months ago might no longer meet their current requirements. CapCut might be aiming for a higher level of template quality or a different style of content.
    • Action:
      • Look for announcements or updates: Check if CapCut has announced any recent changes to their creator program, template requirements, or quality standards. These announcements will be on the official website, social media, or within the CapCut application itself (news or updates section).
  3. Automated system or algorithm issues:

    • CapCut uses automated systems to monitor and evaluate content. Sometimes, these systems can make mistakes or misclassify content.
    • It is possible that an automated system flagged your templates incorrectly, leading to the revocation of your access.
    • Action:
      • Persistence with Support: While you have contacted support, try to be persistent but polite in your communication. Reiterate that you believe there might be a misunderstanding and ask for more specific details about which templates or which guidelines were violated. Write an email to [email protected] and express your concerns and provide as much details as possible. Do expect delays as there are lot of queries being handled by the support team on daily basis.
  4. Account reviews and periodic evaluations:

    • CapCut performs periodic reviews of creator accounts to ensure ongoing compliance and quality. It is possible your account was part of a routine review, and the decision was made based on their current criteria.
    • Action:
      • Inquire about re-application: Ask CapCut support if there is any possibility of re-applying to the creator program in the future. If so, ask what steps you can take to improve your templates and increase your chances of being accepted again.

Understanding "Templates Selected for Pro":

When CapCut mentions "templates selected for Pro," it means:

  • Higher visibility: These templates are likely featured more prominently within the CapCut app, potentially in a "Pro" or "Featured" section. This gives them more exposure to users.
  • Potential monetization: CapCut encourages creators to create engaging and absorbing content aimed at wider audiences. Pro templates indicates chances of monetization being high.
  • Recognition of quality: It is generally a positive sign, indicating that CapCut recognized these templates as being of high quality and valuable to their users at the time they were selected.

Steps you can take:

  1. Thoroughly review guidelines: This is the most crucial step. Find and carefully read all available guidelines for the CapCut Creator Program.
  2. Analyze your templates objectively: Compare your templates to the guidelines and to other templates from creators who are still in the program. Look for any subtle differences or potential issues you might have missed.
  3. Reach out to CapCut's support team to request specific feedback on which templates or actions led to the revocation. Understanding the exact reasons can help in addressing the issue more effectively.
  4. Consider Appealing: If you believe the action was taken in error, consider submitting a formal appeal. Provide evidence or context to support your case. While the success of appeals can vary, it's a direct way to communicate your perspective.
  5. Learn and adapt: Even if you can't regain access immediately, use this as a learning experience. Understand CapCut's requirements better and adapt your template creation style accordingly.
  6. If CapCut creator access remains unavailable, consider exploring other video editing platforms with creator programs. Your skills and experience are valuable, and there might be other platforms where your templates are a better fit.

It is disappointing to lose creator access after your hard work. By systematically investigating the potential reasons and taking proactive steps, you can hopefully gain clarity and potentially find a path forward, whether it's within CapCut or on another platform.

Navigating platform policies can be challenging, especially when guidelines aren't always clear.  Remember, many creators face setbacks, but they often lead to growth and new opportunities.
