Hi, I'm having a problem with audio playback. After downloading the video in mp4 format from Capcut, the audio is not heard. How should I do it? Thank you

Audio issues after export in CapCut can sometimes be due to the following common factors:
- Export settings:
- Audio track disabled: You might have accidentally disabled the audio track during the export process.
- Incorrect format: Although MP4 generally supports audio, there might be a specific codec issue.
- Project issues:
- Audio track muted: Double-check that the audio track in your CapCut project isn't muted.
- Audio file problems: The original audio file you used might be corrupted or in an unsupported format.
- Software glitches:
- Codec issues: Your system might lack the necessary codecs to play the audio in the exported MP4.
What you can do to resolve this issue:
- Verify the timeline audio: Double‑check that your audio track isn’t muted or set to a very low volume in your project. Play back your project within CapCut to ensure you can hear the audio before export. Try replacing the audio file with a different one to rule out corruption or format issues.
- Re‑import or re‑add the audio: If the audio plays fine in the editor but is missing in the exported file, remove and re‑add the audio track. Sometimes a glitch during import can cause issues with audio embedding.
- Check export settings: Make sure that audio is enabled in your export settings. During export, ensure the "Include Audio" is checked on. Try exporting in a different format (like MOV) to see if the audio is present.
- Update or re‑install CapCut: If you’re not on the latest version, updating CapCut might fix bugs related to audio export. Alternatively, reinstalling the app can help clear out any temporary glitches.
- Test on another player: After export, try playing the MP4 file in a different media player (like VLC) that has built-in codecs that can handle various audio formats to rule out a playback issue on your default player. If you're on PC, try installing a codec pack like K-Lite Codec Pack.
- Other solutions:
- Try exporting your video in smaller segments to see if the audio works in any of them.
- If possible, try exporting on a different device to see if the issue is device-specific.
- Make sure the original audio file you imported into CapCut plays correctly on its own.
- Always preview your video with audio in CapCut before exporting to catch any issues ahead of time.
If none of these steps work, it might be a temporary bug. In that case, consider reaching out to CapCut support at [email protected] or use the contact form here.
