Does anyone know how to export 8k in capcut ive done everything from settings to looking it up and cant find out whats wrong
Hi,
It should be possible for 8K exports in CapCut PC at up to 60 frames per second in various formats, including ProRes, even in the free version. This option should be available in CapCut PC as of now. So make sure to update your CapCut PC to latest version and see if you can find the 8k export options.
When you export your video in CapCut desktop, you should be able to select your desired resolution in the export settings. Look for options like 720p, 1080p, 4K, and 8K. Ensure you are choosing the 8K option.
Note the following points carefully:
- 8K export should be available as part of the free version, however based on the latest updates it is also possible that advanced export settings such as 8K might be a PRO feature now. Double-check if any prompts or indicators suggest a "Pro" subscription is needed for 8K export.
- If you don't see a direct 8K export option, or if it's still not working, CapCut offers an AI video upscaler tool. You can try upscaling your video to 8K within CapCut, which might improve the quality if your source video is of high resolution.
- Ensure your computer meets the general system requirements for running CapCut smoothly, especially when dealing with high-resolution video.
If you do not find the 8K option in CapCut then do the following:
- Export your project in 4K from CapCut.
- Use specialized upscaling software or online services such as to enhance the resolution to 8K.
- You can find the following AI based upscaling options useful
- VideoProc Converter AI: Utilizes advanced AI algorithms to upscale videos by 200%, 300%, or 400%, effectively converting 4K footage to 8K. It also offers features like denoising, deblurring, and frame interpolation.
- Topaz Video AI: Specializes in enhancing and upscaling video footage using machine learning. It supports upscaling up to 8K, adding realistic details and reducing artifacts.
- AVCLabs Video Enhancer AI: Automatically upscales low-resolution and blurry videos from 480p or 720p to 4K and even up to 8K. It employs AI technology to enhance video quality intelligently, making it suitable for restoring old films or improving homemade videos.
- As a last resolve you can try Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve to see if these alternative video editors offer 8K exports.
Things to consider for 8K exports:
-
Hardware requirements: AI-based upscaling can be resource-intensive. Ensure your system meets the recommended specifications of the chosen software.
-
Processing time: High-quality upscaling, especially to 8K and videos, can be time-consuming. Be prepared for longer processing times, particularly with extensive footage.
-
Cost: While some tools offer free trials or versions, advanced features like 8K upscaling often require a purchase or subscription.
