Hey. I am new to Capcut Editing. Do you know how can I create a layer of laptop device mockup and animate it to demonstrate the website using Capcut mobile/pc?

For your reference, I have attached few videos from the creators I follow. I need similar custom animation.

If it's not possible with Capcut, then please help me with Adobe Premiere Pro tutorial for the same.

Hi,

It’s great that you are exploring CapCut for your editing projects! Creating a laptop mockup with a website demo is a fantastic way to make your videos look polished.

Below are the tips on how you can do this on CapCut mobile or PC app.

1. Prepare Your Assets:

  • Laptop Mockup Image: Search for a high-quality laptop image with a transparent background (PNG). You can find these by searching for "laptop mockup PNG" or by using a design tool to make one yourself.
  • Website Recording: Record a video of your website in action. Ensure the recording is clear and flows at a suitable pace for your video.

2. Import to CapCut:

  • Mobile: Open CapCut and start a new project. Add the laptop mockup image and website recording video to your project.
  • PC: Launch CapCut on your computer and create a new project. Import both files there.

3. Layer the Assets:

  • Place the laptop mockup image on the base timeline. Then, drag the website recording video onto a track above the laptop image. This will display the website demo on top of the laptop.

4. Adjust and Position:

  • Resize and reposition the website video so that it fits perfectly inside the laptop screen on the mockup image. You can use the transform or scaling tools in CapCut in order to fine-tune the fit.

5. Add Animation:

  • CapCut offers several animation tools:
    • Keyframes: Use keyframes to animate the position, size, or opacity of the website video. This can give the effect of the website "loading" or zooming in and out.
    • Transitions: Add smooth transitions between different parts of the website demo to make it visually dynamic.
    • Text & Graphics: Overlay text to highlight features of your website or use arrows/pointers to guide the viewer’s attention.

6. Add Effects:

  • CapCut offers a wide range of effects to enhance your video:
    • Visual Effects: Try filters or special effects to set a mood or style for your demo.
    • Sound Effects: Add sound effects to highlight clicks, transitions, or other actions within the website demo.

7. Exporting the finished video:

  • Once you’re satisfied with your video, export it in your desired format and resolution.

Other points to remember:

  • Use High-Quality Assets: Ensure both your images and videos are high resolution for the best results.
  • Precision in Positioning: Be sure to align the website video precisely inside the laptop screen.
  • Animation Moderation: Keep animations subtle and smooth to avoid distracting your viewers.
  • Match the Pace: Ensure the speed of your website demo flows naturally with the rest of your video.
  • Experiment: Don’t hesitate to try new techniques and effects to find what works best for your project.

Other CapCut Features to Explore:

  • Layers: Learn how layers function, as this is essential for creating the mockup effect.
  • Transform/Scaling Tools: These are crucial for resizing and positioning the website video within the laptop screen.
  • Keyframe Animation: This feature will help create dynamic movements within your video.
  • Effects Library: Explore CapCut’s various effects to give your video that extra polish.

By following these steps and experimenting with CapCut’s features, you’ll be able to create a professional laptop mockup video showcasing your website.
