this might be a stupid question but how do you transfer editing rights on the desktop cap cut version to another collaborator to edit your file? I just can't seem to find a way to do it. could someone list the steps or even a video on how to do it? thanks

Unfortunately, CapCut doesn’t have a built-in feature for directly transferring editing rights to another user. However, you can use certain workarounds for collaboration as follows:
1. Project Sharing
- Export & Share: Export your project as a
.ccp
CapCut project file and send it via email, cloud storage, or messaging apps. - Limitations: Collaborators must open and edit the project in their own CapCut app, but real-time collaboration is not possible in this method.
2. Cloud Storage & Version Control
- Use Cloud Storage: Store project files in Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar services.
- You can make use of CapCut Cloud storage options available in the PRO version.
- You can get from 100GB to 1TB of cloud space (depending on the package you have subscribed to) and advanced collaboration tools using CapCut PRO access.
- Collaborate on Cloud: Multiple users can access and edit the project using their CapCut.
- Version Control: Track changes and revert to previous versions if needed.
3. External Collaboration Tools
- Project Management: Use Trello, Asana, or Monday.com to share files and track progress.
- Video Conferencing: Discuss edits in real-time using Zoom, Whatsapp or Google Meet.
Important Considerations
- Project Complexity: Editing multi-layered projects collaboratively can be challenging.
- Communication is Key: Clear coordination ensures a smooth workflow.
While CapCut doesn’t support direct editing rights transfers, these methods can help you collaborate effectively.
