I have recently encountered a problem when exporting my videos. Exporting works without any problems, but the video in my gallery is not as I edited it. The clips that I have edited are often in their original length.
I have a video to make for my studies but I can't export it. It shows me the following message "delete the missing resource from the track before exporting". However, I took a good look at the track and didn't see any video loading or anything else.
Sometimes common issues are the cause of exporting errors on CapCut. The 98% hang-up is once such common issue, often caused by storage limits, project complexity, or app glitches.
You may troubleshoot using one of the below recommended methods:
1. Check Device Storage
🔹 Free Up Space – CapCut needs ample storage for exports. Delete unnecessary files and ensure several GBs of free space. The exact amount of space required depends upon the size of the file you are exporting. This in turn depends on the quality of video and length of the video export.
2. Restart & Update
🔹 Force Close CapCut – Restart the app and your device to clear temporary glitches any which might have built up.
🔹 Update CapCut – Check your app store for the latest version with bug fixes or download directly from here.
3. Reduce Video Complexity
🔹 Trim & Export in Parts – Try exporting smaller segments instead of the full video.
🔹 Lower Resolution – Switch to 720p or a lower bitrate to reduce processing load.
🔹 Minimize Effects – Too many transitions, filters, or Chroma Key effects can slow exports. Try disabling some.
4. Adjust Export Settings
🔹 Change Codec – Try a different codec such as H.264
🔹 Lower Bitrate – High bitrates increase file size and can cause export failures.
5. Network & Project Issues
🔹 Test a Short Clip – If a small section exports fine, the issue may be project complexity
🔹 Duplicate or Recreate Project – Corrupt project files can cause problems. Try duplicating or starting fresh
🔹 Stable Internet – If exporting to cloud storage, ensure a stable connection
6. Device Limitations
🔹 Try a More Powerful Device – Older phones or PCs may struggle with long or high-resolution videos due to their less RAM capabilities.
7. Contact CapCut Support
🔹 If none of these fixes work, reach out to CapCut’s support at [email protected] with details about your device, video settings, and effects used.
📌 Key Tip: Test different export settings and isolate the issue before applying fixes.
Also ensure that you are not using any PRO features while working on your video. If you use PRO feature and you have free basic account then you will encounter issues while exporting. Hope one of the above tips help you in resolving the exporting issue.
